The data suggest that people are most interested in smart home devices that protect people and property, although that may not be the focus of the industry. Market research firm Strategy Analytics also said that people who buy smart home devices mainly fall into the following categories:

Married families (16% of the total users) own multiple smartphones and tablets, and are most interested in smart light bulbs, thermostats and other products. High-income young single women (13 percent of the total users) are the most likely to buy security camera products with motion-sensing functions. Single men under the age of 35 (7%), who live mostly in rented apartments, are also the most interested in security camera products.

Obviously, security products are of the most interest to people, which points the way for smart home manufacturers. Interestingly, a plethora of smart home products designed for the elderly are conspicuously absent from the data. Bill Ablondi, director of Strategy Analytics, said that this is because smart home products still have certain thresholds, it is difficult for elderly people who have little Internet access to set up, use and maintain independently, and manufacturers do not provide enough service support. If we can cooperate with heating and water supply institutions in the future, it will have better promotion and popularization effect. Of course, from the current stage, smart home manufacturers should continue to improve products, provide better experience and product quality. With the development of Google, apple, samsung and other technology giants, it is believed that smart home products will also be improved in the use experience, such as lowering the threshold of use through voice recognition function, and further popularized among all types of people
